Cor Cwm Ni
Rhian is the accompanist of Cor Cwm Ni, a local choir based in the Rhymney valley. They took part in a concert on 6th June in Carmarthen along with the female choir Tonic. Tonic were formed by the mother of one of the members of Cor Cwm Ni, and are based in Carmarthen. They visited Ystrad Mynach last year for a concert, and now it was Cor Cwm Ni’s turn to visit them.
The concert was an excellent mix of classical and more modern music, and the audience thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The evening was chaired by the welsh bard Mererid Hopwood, who entertained us with various tales. She also kindly wrote an “englyn”, and as a choir, we are very honoured that she took time to do so.
