Lasting Powers of Attorney

Lasting Powers of Attorney were introduced in October 2007 to replace the previous system of Enduring Powers of Attorney. Lasting Powers of Attorney are often considered to be as important as a will, as they provide the appointed attorney with the power to deal with another persons affairs in the event of them becoming incapacitated or unable to deal with matters themselves. It is for these reasons that we strongly recommended everyone, regardless of age, consider obtaining an Lasting Power of Attorney.

Applications to the Court of Protection – In the event that a loved one becomes incapacitated and a Lasting or Enduring Power of Attorney is not in place, we can assist by making an application to the Court of Protection to appoint a designated person to deal with their affairs.

Contact us today for further information and to make an appointment to make a Lasting Power of Attorney.
