Please be vigilant to emails being sent which purport to be from Evans and Jones Solicitors but which are in fact from online fraudsters who are duplicating our details in order to pass themselves off as the firm. The emails claim that matters are progressing on your file and as a result request for a payment of funds to be made to a specified account. Bank details are provided within the email to allow for payment to be made. Please note that these emails are not from us and should be ignored. We will never make any requests for payments to be made online by email in this manner, and we will not give bank details online in either an email or attachment in this way. Please be aware that we also have no intention of changing our bank details and therefore any emails informing you of a change to our bank details should be ignored. Should you receive any email communication which appears to be from us and asks for a payment of funds to be made, please contact us immediately and do not make any payments whatsoever. Please only rely on bank details which have been provided to you in person or with a letter from us in the post. We would also advise that you contact us by telephone and speak to the fee earner dealing with your matter before making any payment to verify the bank details being used to make that payment.

Grasp the Will Aid opportunity this November and help Evans & Jones build a better world

We are pleased to announce that Evans and Jones Solicitors will be particpating in Will Aid this November. We will be offering clients the opportunity to have a simple Will professionally drawn up and we will not be earning a penny.

To raise as much money as possible for Will Aid, we will draw up basic Wills without charge in the hope that our clients will make a donation to the Will Aid charities. The suggested donation level is £95 for a single basic Will and £150 for a pair of Wills.

The money raised is shared by nine of the UK’s best known charities all of whom work to transform the lives of people in the UK and around the world: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (N. Ireland).

Making a Will is one of the most thoughtful and important things you can do to protect those you love. Yet it is surprising that fewer than half of people have made one. Most say they simply haven’t got around to it and yet it can take years to sort out someone’s estate if they die without a Will, leaving their nearest and dearest in great distress.

So grasp the opportunity to make a proper, valid Will to ensure your wishes will be carried out after death and to avoid the kind of famliy disputes, financial worries and legal battles that can ensue when someone dies without a proper Will.

For further information or to book an appointment to make a Will in November please call us today on 02920 020909.

Evans & Jones raise money for Will Aid

Evans and Jones have once again taken part in Will Aid and we are pleased to annouce that so far we have raised a total of £ 1,368.75 for the various charities this year. Will Aid is a great cause allowing clients to make their Wills with all fees paid going directly to the selected Will Aid charities.

This is the third year that we have participated in the scheme and it has as always been a huge success with clients in the area.
